The Office
One designer, the whole problem.
I'm Owen Hudson. I was born on Nantucket in a house of artists, brewers, and gardeners, and I have been doing design work for island businesses and nonprofits since middle school. I studied business and design at Northeastern with a concentration in brand management, which is why I tend to ask about margins before I ask about typefaces.
The office does brand strategy and identity, product design and 3D visualization, flagship websites, and photography. That range is not a list of services. It is the point. A hotel, a distillery, a development, or a medical device needs all of those to agree with each other, and most of the time they are made by four vendors who have never met. Here they are made by one person who then builds the system that keeps them consistent after launch.
I have been the in-house designer for Cisco Brewers and Triple Eight Distillery since 2023, led design on the CathNode medical device venture, and built the brand asset system that served a hundred realtors at Senné. Housing Nantucket and the Artists Association of Nantucket are clients I grew up around.
On the island through the season. In Boston, a ferry ride away, the rest of the year.
Small on purpose. I take a handful of engagements a year, bring in a copywriter, a motion or CAD partner, or an engineer when the job calls for it, and stay the person you talk to from the first call to the last file.
Two companies, one designer
Owen Hudson, this office, takes on brand, product, and digital engagements for hospitality groups, developers, spirits and consumer brands, institutions, and product companies. Every project begins with a paid diagnostic.
AckSites is my Nantucket website company. Fixed-price, fast, custom-built sites and care plans for island restaurants, rentals, charters, landscapers, shops, and small nonprofits. If that is what you need, it is the better door, and I will say so.
